A man was shot in a leg during a gun battle late Friday night in Spring Township, according to police.
Investigators gave the following account:
Police were dispatched at 11:39 p.m. after there were reports of shots fired in the first block of West Lawn Avenue.
People were fleeing the scene, and officers located the wounded man. He was transported to an area hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators said several shooters were involved. Ke’Sean Williams, 18, of Valley Road in Wyomissing, was charged with attempted homicide, attempted aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
