A Bernville-area man was suffered serious injuries when his motorcycle struck two trees late Monday along New Schaefferstown Road in Jefferson Township, state police said Tuesday
Cody M. Long, 33, was taken by Western Berks Ambulance to Reading Hospital following the crash about 11:45 p.m.
Information on his medical condition was not immediately available.
Troopers from the Reading station gave this account:
Long was westbound uphill in the 700 block of New Schaefferstown Road when he lost control on a left curve.
The motorcycle went off the right shoulder and struck two small trees. After hitting the second tree, the bike rolled over, throwing Long, who ended up on a driveway about 15 feet from where the motorcycle came to rest on the road.
Long, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, suffered suspected serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
