Muhlenberg-Gov. Mifflin football game will be played Sunday; postponed Friday because of gun violence threat

The Muhlenberg-Gov. Mifflin football game that was called off Friday because of a gun violence threat will be played Sunday at 2 p.m. at Gov. Mifflin High School, Muhlenberg head football coach Rob Flowers said tonight.

The game was moved from Muhlenberg High School to Albright College Friday because of field turf safety concerns with the Muhls’ homefield — the third game to be moved away from Muhlenberg this season.

The game was then called off Friday afternoon after an unsubstantiated gun violence threat was made.

Muhlenberg is 3-1 overall, 1-0 in Section 2 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League; the Mustangs are 2-2, 0-1 in Section 2.
