Simon Muzziotti hit a two-run double and four Reading pitchers combined for 15 strikeouts in the visiting Fightin Phils’ 2-1 victory over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies Tuesday night.
Reading starter Francisco Morales threw five scoreless innings, allowed one hit and one walk and struck out nine. Relievers Zach Warren, Kyle Dohy and Brian Marconi, who picked up the save, completed the four-hitter.
The Fightins (45-64) and Rumble Ponies (46-57) continue the final series of the Double-A Northeast League season Wednesday night at 6:35 p.m. in Binghamton, N.Y.
