State police are trying to identify the thief who rummaged through vehicles over the weekend in the Edenburg neighborhood along Old Route 22 in Windsor Township.
Eleven thefts were reported, all occurring between late Friday night and dawn Saturday, investigators said. The thief apparently focused on vehicles that were left unlocked by their owners.
Stolen items included money and debit and credit cards.
An unidentified person was seen on a home security camera entering one of the victim’s vehicles in a driveway in the 500 block of Raymond Avenue.
The suspect was wearing a brown hooded coat, a black beanie, black fanny pack and black pants and shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call state police at the Hamburg station at 610-562-6885, or Crime Alert Berks County’s anonymous tip line at 877-373-9913. Tips can also be sent via text, using the keyword “alert berks,” to 847411.
Crime Alert will pay a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
