Daniel Boone graduate and current Notre Dame star Chris Guiliano did not advance today to Monday’s finals in the 200-meter freestyle in men’s swimming at the Paris Olympics.
He completed his heat prior to Sunday’s semifinal round in 1:47.60. The 16 fastest times from the four trial heats, which took place early Sunday morning, qualified for the semifinals that took place Sunday afternoon.
Guiliano placed second in the U.S. Olympic Trials last month in the 200 free.
The 200 free is the first of three individual events Guiliano will compete in in Paris. He will also swim the 100 and 50 freestyle events.
