Boys cross country
Wyomissing senior David Giles defended his BCIAA title, running 15:57 to finish more than 20 seconds ahead of Exeter junior Chase Choudhry (16:18).
Girls cross country
Gov. Mifflin’s Lydia Drago won the BCIAA individual title. Drago, a senior, won the 5,000-meter race in 18:41, winning by more than 50 seconds over Daniel Boone sophomore Julia Leady (19:32).
Field hockey
Wilson senior Caroline Horace scored three goals and had two assists over the course of three games in the county playoffs. Horace scored a goal in the Bulldogs’ 3-0 win over Oley Valley in the county final, two goals in their 9-0 win over Twin Valley and had two assists in a 11-1 win over Schuylkill Valley.
Football
Schuylkill Valley senior quarterback Logan Nawrocki was 9-for-14 passing and threw for 218 yards and four touchdown passes in the Panthers’ 49-28 win over Annville-Cleona.
Boys soccer
Wilson senior Nik Rohm scored three goals in a 7-1 BCIAA semifinal win over Wyomissing. Rohm also scored a goal and had an assist in a 7-0 BCIAA quarterfinal win over Tulpehocken. In the BCIAA final, Rohm assisted Tommy McFadden’s lone goal that gave the Bulldogs the title.
Girls soccer
Gov. Mifflin senior Payton Klopp scored a game-winning free kick from about 40 yards out in the final seconds of the game to give the Mustangs a 2-1 victory over Wyomissing in the BCIAA final.
Girls tennis
Berks Catholic’s Sarah Schnatz and Isabella Logozzo finished second in the District 3 Class 2A doubles tournament to qualify for the PIAA tournament.
Girls volleyball
Exeter sophomore Jillian Warner led the team with 14 kills and 11 digs to help the Eagles sweep Wilson to claim the BCIAA final.
Boys water polo
Gov. Mifflin senior Jacob Troy scored seven goals in a 13-8 loss against Lasalle. Troy also scored four goals in a 16-8 loss against Upper Dublin.
Girls water polo
Gov. Mifflin sophomore Katie Kerschner made six saves in the Mustangs’ 15-4 win over Upper Dublin.
