Outstanding performances by Berks athletes from Sept. 16-21

Here are some of the outstanding performances by Berks high school athletes for the week of Sept. 16-21:

Boys cross country

Wyomissing senior David Giles finished first in 16:30.5 for the 5,000-meter course at Conrad Weiser to help the Spartans beat the Scouts in a dual meet.

Girls cross country

Gov. Mifflin senior Lydia Drago won in 20:24.66 to help the Mustangs defeat Daniel Boone, Exeter and Wilson in a quad meet.

Field hockey

Schuylkill Valley junior Keira Stork scored four goals as the Panthers defeated Tulpehocken 6-1.

Football

Exeter junior Riley Martinez threw five first-half touchdown passes and was 11-for-14 passing for 181 yards to help lead the Eagles to a 55-0 win over Lebanon.

Golf

Berks Catholic junior Braedan Stringer shot a one-under par 35 for nine holes at Berkshire Country Club to lead the Saints to a 182-196 win over Wyomissing.

Boys soccer

Fleetwood senior Davin Millisock scored three goals to help lead the Tigers to a 4-0 win over Muhlenberg.

Girls soccer

Brandywine Heights junior Lauren Stoudt scored three goals as the Bullets defeated Oley Valley 3-1.

Girls tennis

Wilson junior Jin Lin Chen won singles matches to help the Bulldogs earn 7-0 wins over Gov. Mifflin and Conrad Weiser.

Girls volleyball

Twin Valley senior Mikayla Riehl had 15 kills, 10 digs, 6 blocks to help lead the Raiders to a 3-1 win over Exeter. She also had 10 kills and four blocks in Twin Valley’s 3-0 win over Muhlenberg.

Boys water polo

Wilson senior Jackson Williams scored six goals and had four steals to lead Wilson to an 18-13 win over Reading High.

Girls water polo

Exeter junior Meghan Wagner scored six goals to lead Exeter to an 11-9 girls water polo victory over Muhlenberg on Tuesday. Wagner also had 5 steals and an assist.
