Party at the Park gets Reading kids ready for school

The second annual Party at the Park was held Saturday Pendora Park in East Reading. The free event, hosted by Reading Councilman Jaime Baez Jr. included the dedication of a maple tree to all who have been affected by gun violence. Local artists joined to bring awareness of the Clean City initiative by painting recycling and trash bins in the park. Bookbags and school supplies were distributed free to kids.
