The Wyomissing Spartans fell 58-45 to Neumann Goretti in the second round of the PIAA Class 4A girls basketball playoffs on Wednesday night at Spring-Ford High School.
After leading in the first quarter, the Spartans’ downfall came in the second.
Wyomissing (22-5) committed seven turnovers that led to a 19-8 second quarter finish.
The Saints (23-4) knocked down four 3-pointers in the third to lead 43-30, a deficit the Spartans could not overcome.
Amaya Stewart, a University of Albany commit, scored 25 points in her final game as a Spartan.
She also became Wyomissing’s all-time leading scorer with 1,904 points.
The Spartans won their third consecutive District 3 championship this season.
