The following information comes from police reports and court records.

Crash: On May 26 at about 5:30 p.m. state police responded to an accident on Wiconisco Street in Porter Township. James Miller, 87, Tremont, lost control of his SUV. The vehicle hit a guide rail and ended up in a ditch. There were no injuries, but Miller was transported to Lehigh Valley East to be evaluated.

Crash: On May 25 at about 8 a.m. state police responded to an accident on South Sillyman Street in Cressona. A pickup truck veered slightly into oncoming traffic and struck a side mirror on a state police armored response vehicle driven by William Wagner, 52, Dunmore. Wagner pulled over, and the other driver fled the scene.

Crash: On May 23 at about 6:35 a.m. state police responded to an accident on Route 61 in West Brunswick Township. Helena Hughes, 80, Schuylkill Haven, was driving south, and Robert Teijaro, 58, Schuylkill Haven, was behind her. Hughes began moving to the left lane, then attempted to reenter the driving lane. Teijaro struck the rear of her car, causing disabling damage. Teijaro’s pickup had minor damage. Hughes’ passenger Kenneth Angst, 61, Schuylkill Haven, suffered an injury and was transported to Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital.

ID Theft: On May 23, Daniel Grigas, 45, Auburn, reported to state police that someone used his confidential information to open a bank account. Grigas received mail from the bank stating he declined overdraft fees on his account. He canceled the account before any activity occurred.

Crash: On May 16 at about 4 a.m. state police responded to an accident on Route 61 near South Liberty Street in North Manheim Township. Caryn Kline, 43, Orwigsburg, struck a deer. Kline’s vehicle was towed. The driver was not injured.

Crash: State police responded to a crash in Tower City on May 14 at about 11:30 p.m. Daymian Shoop, 23, Tower City, struck a legally parked SUV along Route 209. Shoop’s vehicle had disabling damage, and the SUV he struck had damage to the rear. Shoop was not injured.
