Raccoon at Hersheypark attacks 2 people waiting in line for ride: reports

A raccoon attacked two guests at Hersheypark last week, according to reports.

Fox 43 reported that the two people attacked were waiting in line for the SooperDooperLooper roller coaster during the park’s opening day Friday.

Officials at the park told the news station that the two people were taken to a local hospital out of an abundance of caution.

The raccoon was not captured; however, it has not returned to the park since the incident, according to the report.

A video from TMZ showed the raccoon running near the line, prompting guests to run away. The video shows the raccoon briefly attacking what appears to be a young girl before running off.

Park officials told CBS21 that this was the first incident of its kind at the park. They noted the park has extensive fencing to prevent it.
