Rash of property crimes reported in Berks municipality

State police are investigating a rash of property crimes early this month in Ruscombmanor Township.

Troopers from the Reading station were dispatched to a Fry Road residence where a man reported his power equipment was stolen on Nov. 3. While investigating, troopers discovered there were at least two victims in the vicinity.

Investigators didn’t provide any details in a release but indicated there was no forced entry.

Footage from trail cameras indicated a bearded white man, believed to be in his 30s, was the suspect.

Equipment valued at about $750 was reported stolen.

The same day, troopers were dispatched to nearby Blandon Road where a property owner reported someone stole his trail camera and an antique vice.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at Reading at 610-378-4011.
