Reading’s tree lighting ceremony on Nov. 26 will feature performances and treats from local organizations and small businesses.
Officials said the ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. on the southeast corner of Fifth and Penn streets.
“As we embrace the holiday season, let us gather to brighten our community with the glow of unity, warmth, and celebration,” Mayor Eddie Moran said in a statement. “This year’s tree lighting event will bring special performances that capture the spirit of the season, creating memories for us all to cherish. I invite everyone to join in as we welcome a season overflowing with joy, kindness and the shared magic of this wonderful time of year.”
Schedule are a vocal performance by the Reading Coral Society, a performance by the Olivet Boys & Girls Club and treats
from local organizations and small businesses.
The event will be carried live on the city’s webpage, readingpa.gov/city, and on BCTV.org
