Reading residents will have a chance to dispose of unwanted bulky items thanks to a citywide cleanup initiative.
The initial Dumpster Day event will be held Saturday at multiple locations.
This event aims to facilitate community cleanup efforts and promote a cleaner, greener environment, a release from the city said.
Eleven disposal locations will be set up throughout the city:
• Baer Park, West Douglass and George streets.
• West Oley and McKnight streets.
• Hampden Boulevard and Perry Street.
• 16th and Cotton streets.
• Ninth and Chestnut streets.
• Seventh and Bingaman streets.
• Third and Spruce streets.
• Essick Park, Church and Oley streets.
• 12th and Greenwich streets.
• Clinton and West Greenwich streets.
• Division and Buttonwood streets.
The following items cannot be accepted: tires, used oil, household chemicals, paint, televisions and appliances.
