Reading United 2025 Season Preview

From Reading United AC

Reading United Men’s USL2 team is looking to build on last year’s excellent season, where they finished second in a very competitive division. With a strong returning roster, the men are once again looking to finish at the top of the standings.

A key returner for Reading United is captain Tim Timchenko. Timchenko was the team’s defensive player of the year and also led the team in minutes played. Another returner, Davin Millisock, a talented and shifty player, is making the jump from the reserve team to the first team. Millisock, a Berks County native, is looking to make his mark on the pitch.

Reading United Women’s WPSL team is also building on their impressive playoff-run season last year with a wealth of returning talent.

Rebecca Kotula returns as captain. Ashley Lavrich, the team’s top scorer, will return in form after earning a slew of accolades during her freshman year at Monmouth. The dynamic midfielder, Anna Buckwalter, returns to dominate the midfield and create opportunities for her squad. Also returning is Loren Gehret, a talented forward with a nose for the goal, who tallied six points in a single week!

We hope you are as excited as we are for the USL2 men’s team and WPSL women’s seasons!

Reading United AC Foundation

New for 2025 is the formation of the Reading United AC Foundation, a non-profit arm of Reading United AC. The Foundation aims to grow everyone’s love for the game by providing scholarships, community programming, and support services for #Path2Pro.

Our community programming initiative includes Reading United players coaching day camps for the Reading Recreation Commission players. To donate specifically to this initiative, click here.

As you know, we house players at the Alvernia University campus. Our players work hard all day and night, and they need fuel to keep them going. Our #Path2Pro support service initiative is to provide weekly, $25 pre-paid grocery cards to each of our housed players. To donate to this specific initiative, click here.

More information about the Foundation and the inaugural Board members can be found here.
