Registration is open for National Small Business Week Virtual Summit

Entrepreneurs and small business owners are invited to register for the 2024 National Small Business Week Virtual Summit. The two-day online event is scheduled for April 30 and May 1, and is being hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and SCORE.

This year’s virtual summit will feature educational workshops, exhibit booths, business resources, networking opportunities through multiple peer networking rooms and business advice from SCORE mentors.

“SCORE is proud to co-host the National Small Business Week virtual summit with the SBA,” Bridget Weston, SCORE CEO, said in a statement. “At SCORE, we believe that anyone can succeed in their business journey, given the right tools and support. Every year, we look forward to this event and the opportunity to connect entrepreneurs with helpful, educational tools and resources from the experts themselves.”

SCORE is a resource partner of the SBA that since 1964 has provided volunteer business mentors “dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals,” according to a press release about the event.

The theme for this year’s virtual summit is “Building on America’s Small Business Boom,” a nod to the “unprecedented growth of entrepreneurship in the United States, marked by 16.5 million new business applications” since 2021, according to the release.

Attendance at the virtual summit is free of charge, but registration is required. For more information or to register, visit https://www.sba.gov/national-small-business-week. A detailed agenda and list of cosponsor speakers will be published closer to the events dates, according to the event’s website.

The event falls during National Small Business Week, the SBA’s annual celebration of small businesses across the country — this week running from April 28 through May 4.

The U.S. Small Business Administration has celebrated Small Business Week for the past 60 years — recognizing the contributions of the country’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.
