Roberts, Molnar win Hamburg Keystone Open

The Keystone Social Club of Hamburg recently held its annual Keystone Open golf tournament at Green Acres Golf Course.

The event was a flighted two-man scramble format. There were 82 members who played.

The champions were Derek Roberts and John “JR” Molnar with a score of 4 under 66. They out dueled two-time champions Matt Schlegel and Todd Kennedy, who also shot (-4), the winner was determined by match of cards. Therefore, earning Flight “A” 1st place.

Flight “A” 2nd place went to Lee Hoch and Barry Shollenberger with a 3 under 67.

Flight “B” 1st place was won by Travis Schlegel and Brian Gerner with a score of 71 (+1) and Flight “B” 2nd place went to Ryan Mock and Steven Kauffman who scored 71 (+1).

Flight “C” 1st place was captured by Lynton Williams and Robbie Hunsicker at 76 (+6) followed by Paul Petry and Nick Sattazahn with a 77 (+7).

Closest to the pin on par 3’s were won by No. 2 – Todd Kennedy (white), no winner (gold); No. 7 – Kenny Moyer (white), Carl Balthaser (gold); No. 9 – Trevor Roberts (white), Dave Yoder, Jr. (gold); No. 11 – Ryan Mock (white), Stan Henne (gold); No. 13 – Robby Henne (white), Dale Feick (gold). Dave Yoder, Jr. won the Pot-of-Gold contest on No. 9 coming within 1 foot 2 inches of the hole.

Long Drive –  Reece Adam (white); Stan Henne (gold); Charlie Slichter (super senior). Skins were won by Lee Hoch and Barry Shollenberger on No. 3; Carl Balthaser and Socky Shappell on No. 7; and Dave Yoder, Jr. and Josh Sattazahn on No. 9.
