Each year the South Schuylkill Garden Club hosts a plant sale. The funds raised support a variety of projects as well as a scholarship to benefit Schuylkill County high school seniors and college students.
The scholarship is awarded to a high school senior who plans to attend an institution of higher learning in the following subjects: horticulture, floriculture, landscape architecture, conservation, forestry, botany, agronomy, plant pathology, environmental control, land-use planning, land management and allied fields. College students already enrolled in these majors are also welcome to apply.
