Shocktoberfest, marketed as Pennsylvania’s premier haunted scream park, is open for the season.
Featuring exciting and unique attractions, Shocktoberfest is located at 94 Park Ave. in Sinking Spring, west of Reading. You will be able to attend the event on Fridays and Saturdays in September from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The schedule expands in October.

Shocktoberfest has plenty of attractions that are suitable for all ages. These range from regular to premium. There are eight regular attractions that are sure to satisfy everyone: The Prison of the Dead, a horrifying 50,000 square feet condemned prison compound; The Zombie Safari Hayride Tour, where you can see zombies up close; The Unknown 3.0, a phobia themed haunted house with all new scenes, scares, and effects; Ground Assault: Zombie Laser Tag, where you battle zombies with a tactical laser gun; Zombie Experience where we place you behind the scenes and you get to be the zombie; and Midway Massacre, which paints the scene that there is something wrong on the Monster Midway. This unavoidable Scare Zone will certainly keep you on your toes.
Adult attractions in the regular section are Club Shock, a haunted nightclub with a full bar along with bands and DJ’s, and the Monster Midway complete with scare zones, shows, games, music and food.
The four premium attractions are Maintenance Shed, a five-minute escape room, Shock’s Tailgate Party and SPOOKktoberfest. The latter is a family-friendly Halloween experience for children 12 and under along with their parents and grandparents. Price includes the Safari Hayride, Unknown 3.0 Spooky Haunted House, Midway Massacre Boo Zone, and Laser Tag.
Additional activities include carnival games, and food trucks. Children are welcome to wear costumes.
Truck n Brew offers guests an opportunity to come out early each night for dinner, drinks and a show. Bands or DJ’s will perform there each night.
