The following information comes from police reports and court records.
Crash: State police responded to an accident in Wayne Township on March 23. Cailin Lemke, 19, Pine Grove, struck a tree on Front Street south of Panther Valley Road. There were no injuries. The car was towed.
Theft: On March 22 at about 1 p.m., state police were dispatched to S Route 183 in Wayne Township for a report of a scam resulting in the theft of $10,000. Police continue the investigation.
School bus crash: On March 20 at about 3:20 p.m., state police responded to an accident involving a school bus in West Brunswick Township. Bus driver Christopher Eckroth, 44, Orwigsburg, was letting students out at the intersection of Route 895, Summer Valley Road and Molino Road. All signals and traffic signals were activated. An SUV driven by Leydiana Rodriguez, 37, Reading, rear-ended the stopped bus. Rodriguez was transported to Geisinger St. Luke’s for her injuries. No one on the bus was injured. Rodriguez’s SUV was towed.
Crash: On March 20 at about 5:30 a.m., state police responded to an accident on Bunting Street at Taylor Street in Branch Township. A pickup truck attempting a left turn crossed into the path of a car driven by Dylan King, 23, Mohrsville. The truck driver struck the front of King’s car, then fled east on Bunting Street. The car had disabling damage to the front end and was towed. King was not injured.
Crash: State police at Schuylkill Haven responded to a four-vehicle accident at Route 61 and Blue Mountain Road in Port Clinton on March 20 at about 7 a.m. Susan Miller, 68, Orwigsburg, struck three legally parked vehicles with her truck, and one of the southbound lanes was blocked. Miller was not injured.
DUI: On March 19 at about 12:10 a.m., state police conducted a traffic stop. Police found the driver, Newton Mull, 48, Pottsville, to be under the influence of a controlled substance and took him into custody.
Crash: On March 17 at about 6:30 p.m., state police responded to an accident on Lake Front Drive in West Brunswick Township. An unidentified driver drove off the road and struck a residential fence. The vehicle returned to the road and fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 570-754-4600.
Crash: On March 16 at about 2 a.m., state police responded to an accident on the parking lot at Hot Rod Bar and Grill in Cressona. Gerardo Herrera, 33, Hegins, reported damage to his SUV. The vehicle that caused the damage was described as a red car. Herrera was unable to get the registration number on the vehicle.
Theft: On March 15 at about 12 a.m. state police responded to Schuylkill Mountain Road in Wayne Township for a report of items taken from a car. A Schuylkill Haven woman told police the items were taken when her care was parked in the Giant parking lot at Cressona Mall. Police are investigating..
