The following information comes from police reports and court records.
Theft by Deception: On Oct. 18, A woman informed state police of an identity theft. She had $310 stolen from her bank account and it went in an app account. The investigation is ongoing.
Dog Law: On Oct. 16 at about 4:30 p.m., state police at Schuylkill Haven responded to Wynonah Drive in South Manheim Township. A woman was walking two dogs when they were attacked by two other dogs. One of the dogs being walked was killed. Police continue to investigate.
Crash: On Oct. 15 at about 12:15 p.m., state police responded to an accident on Route 61 at South Liberty Street in West Brunswick Township. Colleen Riley, 63, Barnesville, was at a stop sign as Angel Rivera, 74, Reading, was approaching. Riley proceeded without proper clearance and struck Rivera’s car. Riley was transported to Geisinger St. Luke’s for evaluation. Both vehicles were towed.
Crash: State police responded to an accident on Route 125 in Tremont Township on Oct. 15 at about 5:30 p.m. Diane Barr, 76, Tremont, traveled into opposing traffic and struck an SUV driven by Owen Wissinger, 22, Pottsville. There were no injuries.
Crash: On Oct. 15 at about 5:10 p.m., state police responded to an accident on Route 183 S at Plum Creek Road in Wayne Township. A vehicle driven by Rodney Hummel, 70, Schuylkill Haven, was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Kayla Felty, 38, Schuylkill Haven. No injuries were reported. Felty’s vehicle was towed.
Crash: State police responded to an accident on Market Street south of Seventh Street in Port Carbon on Oct. 12 at about 6:40 a.m. Jenna Skripko, 29, St. Clair, struck a utility pole. Skripko was not injured. The vehicle was towed.
Crash: State police responded to an accident on Route 125 in Hegins Township on Oct. 11 at about 8:40 a.m. Theresa Bilder, 59, Ashland, traveled across the road and struck a wooden farm sign. Bilder was not injured. The Ford was towed.
Crash: On Oct. 11 at about 5:45 p.m., state police responded to an accident on Route 183 in Wayne Township. Heather Mannon, 44, Auburn, was driving behind a vehicle driven by Gabriel Hushen, 18, Reading. When Hushen was stopping in the northbound lane, a motorcycle driven by Kyle Rudloff, 34, Auburn, traveling directly behind Mannon, ran into the back of Hushen’s vehicle. Rudloff suffered a severe injury and was transported to Geisinger St. Luke’s by Schuylkill EMS. All vehicles were towed.
Crash: On Oct. 9 at about 3:30 p.m., state police responded to an accident on Route 901 in Barry Township. Sierra Wertz, 27, Lebanon, crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a guide rail. Wertz was extricated from the SUV and flown to Geisinger Danville for immediate treatment. The vehicle was towed.
Use of Explosive/Incendiary Device: On Oct. 5 at about 5 p.m., state police were dispatched to Long Run Road in Wayne Township for a reported explosion. It was determined the explosion came from Tannerite that was detonated for a gender reveal party. Multiple neighbors reported damage to their residence. Police continue to investigate.
