An investigation into a head-on Jefferson Township crash in which a nun was killed determined that her vehicle crossed the center line, according to state police.
The crash occurred Saturday about 9:30 a.m. on Route 183 and left two others hurt, troopers said.
According to state police:
Sister Georganne N. Molnar, 43, of the Sister Servants of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Cresson, Cambria County, was driving south when her car crossed the line and hit a northbound vehicle.
The second vehicle was driven by Federico Perez, 30, of Reading.
Molnar was pronounced dead at the scene about 90 minutes after the crash by Berks County Deputy Coroner Terri Straka. The death was ruled accidental, and no autopsy is planned, officials said.
Perez and his passenger, Talita Santos, 28, of Reading, were injured and taken to Reading Hospital. Information on their medical conditions was unavailable.
The crash resulted in the closure of Route 183 between New Schaefferstown Road and Dry Hollow Road for several hours.
