There was plenty of summer fun in Reading on Saturday. Berks Arts and the Reading Fightin Phils partnered to present the annual Berks Summer Fest at FirstEnergy Stadium, and downtown Reading offered its second Color & Art Fest Block Party. in the 600 and 700 blocks of Penn Street.
Summer Fest featured a full day of concerts, a play area for kids, cornhole games and access to stadium concessions. Guests were invited to donate nonperishable food to Helping Harvest.
The Color & Art Fest Block Party featured a noncompetitive Color Run in which participants were showered with colorful powders along with a variety of fun activities along Penn Street.
