Tri-Valley Lions honor outstanding arts student

Tri-Valley High School senior Atticus Edwards is the September Outstanding Student of the Arts as selected by the Tri-Valley Lions Club.

Atticus, son of Diana Cosgrove and Isaac Graves, was selected for his talent as a trombone player. He played three songs for Lions at a recent meeting. He offered insights into his instrument and explained the rigorous process he went through to become drum major.

He has participated in school soccer, band, chorus and Quiz Bowl. His activities outside of school include playing for the West Schuylkill Football Club, or WSFC.  He has served as captain of the Tri-Valley soccer team for three years, All County Band Second Team, president of the band, drum major, All County Band and Chorus, and captain of the WSFC.

Atticus plans to attend Penn State and obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing.  He also plans to continue his musical career in college.
