Troopers investigating $10,000 theft from eastern Berks solar company

State police are investigating the theft of thousands of dollars worth of power tools and telecommunications wire from a solar panel installation company in eastern Berks County.

During the early hours on March 30, an unidentified man and a woman arrived at Lumina Solar on Gravel Pike in Hereford Township and entered three work vans, troopers at the Reading station said.

They stole 34 spools of wire worth about $9,200, and three cordless power drills and batteries worth more than $600.

They cut six padlocks off of storage containers but didn’t take anything from the.

The thieves arrived in a black 2025 Explorer.
