Tuesday’s Berks high school cross country results

Oley Valley’s Ryan Gurley and Twin Valley’s Kenzianna Flores won the individual races in a cross country quad meet on Tuesday at Tulpehocken.

Gurley won the boys race in 16:30.37 for the 5,000-meter course and Flores won the girls race in 20:43.36.

In the boys race, Twin Valley runners finished second through sixth led by Frankie DiSilvestro who was second in 17:36.87. Cooper Schmidt was third in 17:37.28, Jack Taylor was fourth in 17:37.69, Logan Rhodes fifth in 17:51.99 and Andrew Servis sixth in 17:54.52.

In the girls race, Twin Valley’s Riley Servis was second in 21:01.05, Oley’s Hannah Houp was third in 21:08.03, Tulpehocken’s Shelby McClure was fourth in 22:22.56 and Twin Valley’s Sienna Stoltzfus was fifth in 23:14.63.

Team scores for the boys were: Twin Valley 15, Tulpehocken 50; Tulpehocken 22, Oley Valley 35; Tulpehocken 24, Reading High 31; Twin Valley 20, Oley Valley 43; Twin Valley 15, Reading High 48; and Reading High 23, Oley Valley 32.

The team scores in the girls race were: Twin Valley 15, Tulpehocken 50; Oley 15, Tulpehocken 50; Reading High 15, Tulpehocken 50; Twin Valley 15, Oley Valley 45; Twin Valley 15, Reading High 50; and Oley Valley 23, Reading High 33.

Schuylkill Valley girls win three meets

Mabel Walborn won the girls race in a time of 21:56 for Muhlenberg’s 5,000-meter course to lead the Schuylkill Valley girls to three wins in high school cross country on Tuesday.

The Panthers defeated Muhlenberg 17-40, Fleetwood 15-50 and Berks Catholic 22-35.

Berks Catholic’s Grace Buerke was second in the race in 24:14.

The other scores in the girls meet were: Muhlenberg 15, Fleetwood 50; Berks Catholic 25, Muhlenberg 30; and Berks Catholic 15, Fleetwood 50.

In the boys meet, Berks Catholic’s Julen Scroggs won in 18:26 as Schuylkill Valley scored three wins.

Schuylkill Valley defeated Muhlenberg 20-36; Fleetwood 15-40 and Berks Catholic 23-32.

The other scores were: Muhlenberg 17, Fleetwood 46; Berks Catholic 25, Muhlenberg 30; Berks Catholic 16, Fleetwood 47.
