Delaney Simerly has been named Twin Valley High School October Intern of the Month.
Delaney interns at Cross Gables Interior Design in Exton, which provides interiors for clients around the world. Projects range from ground-up, new construction, and renovations to decorative spaces focusing on furnishing and interior finishes. Every project is tailored to the individual client, reflecting their taste, interest, and lifestyle.
Internship mentor Theresa Conahan, owner and principal of Cross Gables Estates, enjoys having Delaney as an intern.
“Delaney has had the opportunity to assist with client projects and selects the perfect paint colors within our Sherwin Williams Color collection,” said Conahan. “She has a natural artistic gift and we are thrilled to have her as part of our team — we enjoy working with Twin Valley High School interns and enjoy giving students the opportunities to learn first-hand what the day-to-day is all about!”
As part of her internship, Delaney is working on a bathroom remodel for her home. Delaney went to Berks Career and Technology Center for drafting and design after a TVHS architecture class piqued her interest.
Also, she is a pitcher for her club softball team as well as TVHS. She works part time, and also enjoys art, painting, hiking, and nature. She is part of the TVHS National Honor Society and enjoys tutoring and participating in community service projects.
After high school, she plans on attending an art school.
