The Philadelphia Union will open the 2025 MLS Cup playoffs on Oct. 26, the league announced on Sunday.
The Union, as the Supporters’ Shield winner and the top seed in the Eastern Conference, await the winner of the East’s Wild Card game, to be played Wednesday night with No. 8 Chicago hosting No. 9 Orlando City.
The Union’s best-of-3 first-round series opens Sunday, Oct. 26 with a 5:30 date at home against the survivor of the Wild Card match. That game will be televised on FS1. The series shifts to either Chicago or Orlando on Saturday, Nov. 1, for a 5:30 kickoff.
If a third game is necessary, it would be in Chester on Nov. 8 at a time to be determined.
The Game 2 trip is the last road game the Union will play this season. They would host an Eastern Conference quarterfinal against the winner of Charlotte and New York City FC’s best-of-3 in a one-off on the weekend of Nov. 22-23, after a week off for the international break. The conference finals are Nov. 29-30, with MLS Cup on Dec. 6.
