Thirteen field hockey players who hail from Pennsylvania were among the 37 players named to the 2025 U.S. Women’s National Team on Tuesday.
The team includes 13 Olympians and six newcomers, including high school sensation Reese D’Ariano from West Chester, who attends Pa. Leadership Charter School.
Among the Olympians named was veteran Ashley Hoffman, who played at Twin Valley High School and the University of North Carolina.
Hoffman has 128 national caps during her career.
Also named to the team were 2024 Olympians Phia Gladieux (Oley Valley, Penn State), Kelee Lepage (Twin Valley, Maryland) and Meredith Sholder (Emmaus, North Carolina).
Conestoga grad Charlotte De Vries, who is from Malvern and played at Syracuse, made the team.
The others from Pennsylvania are: Olivia Bent-Cole (Philadelphia), Emma DeBerdine (Millersville, Penn Manor High School), Hope Rose (Dauphin), Jenny Rizzo (Hershey), Ashley Sessa (Schwensksville), Cassie Sumfest (Lewisburg), Lauren Wadas (Annville), Jillian Wolgemuth (Mount Joy, Manheim Central High School) and Maddie Zimmer (Hershey).
