The Berks County sheriff’s office is seeking the following fugitives:
• Robert Purfield, 39, whose last known address was in the 800 block of Franklin Street, Reading, is wanted on theft by unlawful taking charges
Cumru Township police stated that on June 13, Purfield took an SUV valued at $8,990 without permission and did not return it to the owner.
He is described as 6 feet 1 inch and 180 pounds.
• Walter Singleton, 41, whose last known address was in the 700 block of North 12th Street, Reading, is wanted on receiving stolen property charges.
Bern Township police stated that Singleton was involved with a theft organization where cellphones would be taken by FedEx employees and would return them for payment. The theft scheme resulted in a loss of $40,207. Charges were filed on June 24 by the Bern Township Police Department.
He is described as 5 feet 7 inches and 180 pounds.
