West Chester Borough honors its veterans with parade, Operation Green Light ceremony

West Chester Borough honored veterans on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025 with the annual Veterans Day Parade that was followed by Operation Green Light Ceremony on the steps of the Old Court House. The parade, sponsored by Bernard Schlegel American Legion Post 134, processed from Henderson High School to the Old Court House and featured service members, reenactors and military vehicles.

For Operation Green Light,” communities turn buildings and homes green to show support for veterans and their families. This event is part of a nationwide initiative to honor veterans, raise awareness of veteran support services, and show public appreciation for their service.
