West Reading wins its second straight game on basketball exchange trip to California

West Reading won its second straight game on its basketball exchange trip to California, defeating Elk Grove High School 73-47 Thursday at Franklin High School in Elk Grove.

Berks Catholic’s Josiah Jordan, Wilson’s Aidan Melograna and Exeter’s Reece Garvin each scored 13 points for West Reading. Exeter’s Aidan Dauble and Wyomissing’s Danny Fleischood each scored 11.

West Reading led 14-10 after a quarter, then outscored Elk Grove 59-37 the rest of the way.

West Reading will play two games Friday in the Franklin Tournament, taking on Ponderosa and Franklin.
