Grace Chisholm scored and Catherine Wolf made nine saves as Wilson defeated Downingtown West 1-0 in a PIAA Class 3A field hockey quarterfinal game Saturday at Methacton.
The District 3 runner-up Bulldogs (23-2-1) will face District 11 champ Emmaus (25-0) — a 7-0 winner over Honesdale Saturday — in a semifinal game Tuesday at Hamburg at 5 p.m.
Wilson will be making its first appearance in the semis since winning the title in 2019. It also faced Emmaus in the semifinals that season, winning 1-0.
Chisholm scored off an assist from Erika Culp.
In addition to the nine saves by Wolf, the Bulldogs also got one defensive save each from Natalie Riccitelli and Catherine Arentz.
District 1 champ Downingtown West (20-4) outshot Wilson 11-6.
