Wilson’s Kairis is girls lacrosse player of the year, 3 teammates join her on all-conference team

Wilson senior Alexa Kairis, a Penn State commit, has been named the Berks Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year, the BCIAA announced Thursday.

Kairis scored seven goals in Wilson’s 14-8 victory over Twin Valley to win the Berks championship.

She was joined on the all-conference team by three teammates — senior Audrey Miller and juniors Maitlyn Keiser and Olivia Reinhart.

Wilson’s Chelsey Rosiek was named Coach of the Year.

Joining the four Wilson girls on the all-star team were four members of the Twin Valley squad — seniors Anna Givens and Hadley Munn, junior Kylie Duke and sophomore Elison Kaplan.

Rounding out the all-star team were seniors Emily Gauker of Gov. Mifflin and Reese Weddle of Schuylkill Valley, junior Francesca Ditsky of Berks Catholic and sophomores Kasey Maggs of Wyomissing and Molly Giering of Exeter.
