Twin Valley’s Anna Kaplan is named Berks girls lacrosse Player of the Year, three-time All-Berks pick

Twin Valley’s Anna Kaplan and her mother, Courtney Kaplan, earned top honors on the All-Berks girls lacrosse team that was announced Saturday.

Anna Kaplan has been named Player of the Year for the second straight year and Courtney Kaplan earns Coach of the Year honors for the third season in a row, as selected by the league coaches.

The Raiders (9-0, 19-1) won their second straight Berks title Thursday and are the top seed in the District 3 Class 2A playoffs.

Anna Kaplan, a senior, ranks third in the league in scoring with 104 points on 50 goals and 54 assists. She is a three-time All-Berks pick and is joined in that distinction by senior teammate Emma Raines.

Raines leads the league in goals with 75.

There are six two-time selections, led by Gov. Mifflin senior Mia Beilhart, the league’s leading scorer with 110 points on 50 goals and 60 assists.

The others are Gov. Mifflin seniors Eliza Enriquez and Sophia Stanislawczyk, Wilson senior Kayla Wilkes, Exeter senior Maya Metz and Berks Catholic senior goalie Gigi Ditsky.

Rounding out the team are Twin Valley seniors Julia Givens and Emma Winther, Wilson sophomore Alexa Kairis, Conrad Weiser senior Elizabeth Miller and Wyomissing junior Alexia Polyak.

Twin Valley has four selections on the 13-member All-Berks. Gov. Mifflin has three and Wilson two.
