About 950 Met-Ed customers are without power this morning following a windy night that included at least one heavy shower.
The outages are scattered over several municipalities, with the eastern half of the county hit the hardest. As of 8 a.m., there were 307 customers in Rockland Township without service, 77 in Robeson Township and 51 in Greenwich Township, according to the FirstEnergy Corp. website.
There was no estimate for restoration, as the utility was in storm-recovery mode.
The National Weather Service had placed the region under a wind advisory from noon Monday through 2 a.m. Tuesday, with forecasters predicting damaging gusts of 40 to 50 mph.
There were reports of fallen tree limbs and downed wires in several areas late Monday.
