A 74-year-old Colebrookdale Township woman was killed when her SUV and a pickup truck collided Monday afternoon near her home, officials said.
Jacqueline Bressler, 74, was pronounced dead at 5:56 p.m. by Deputy Coroner Joel Bonilla at the scene of the crash at Grims Mill Road and Route 73 in the township, the coroner’s office said Tuesday.
She died of blunt impact injuries, and her death was ruled accidental, officials said.
Eastern Berks Regional police said they were dispatched to the two-vehicle crash at 3:52 p.m.
They said the SUV driven by Bressler pulled from a stop sign onto Route 73, which is also called West Philadelphia Avenue, from North Grims Mill Road. The SUV and a westbound pickup truck collided in the intersection.
The driver of the truck, whose name wasn’t released, was uninjured. No passengers were in either vehicle.
Route 73 in the area of the crash was closed for about three hours.
Bressler was the 31st person to die this year as a result of motor vehicle accidents on Berks roads.
