From Reform Congregation Oheb Sholom
The 25th annual Jewish Food and Cultural Festival at Reform Congregation Oheb Sholom will be held on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the synagogue located at 555 Warwick Dr. in Wyomissing, just a block away from Starbucks and the Wal-Mart/Redner’s shopping center on State Hill Road.
The event will feature apple cake, brisket, pastrami, corned beef, hot dogs, and more. New options include chopped liver, health salad, homemade coleslaw, rye bread, and chocolate chip cookies. See www.ohebsholom.org for the full menu.
There is no admission charge. Guests are welcome to order meals in advance at www.ohebsholom.org with indoor pickup. Credit cards are preferred when purchasing meals on-site. There will be dining areas throughout the building.
Cantor Stuart Binder will perform music in the Jewish tradition. There will be a wide assortment of raffle baskets.
There’s much more to the festival than food. The event gives the community a chance to learn about Judaism and its vibrant culture. Tour the sanctuary with Rabbi Brian Michelson and hear the blowing of the Shofar. Our cultural room invites guests of all ages to take part in hands-on games and activities to help explain traditions.
