4 hurt in northern Berks County T-bone accident

Four people were transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown — including two with serious injuries, state police say — after a two-vehicle crash in Albany Township.

The injured were all traveling in a sport utility vehicle on Friday night shortly before 6:30.

The most seriously hurt, according to troopers, were Gennady Freidman, 60, Warrington, Bucks County; and Ida Kravtsova, 83, Holland, Bucks County.

The others were Viktoriya Friedman, 53, Warrington, and Naomi Friedman, 20, Philadelphia, troopers said.

Conditions were not available.

Troopers said Viktoriya Friedman was driving eastbound on Hawk Mountain Road when the SUV collided with a pickup truck northbound on Route 143 driven by Benjamin R. Wilburn, 37, Germansville, Lehigh County.

The pickup truck hit the passenger side of the SUV, troopers said. Both vehicles ended up in the parking lot of a convenience store at the intersection.

The occupants of both vehicles were wearing seat belts, troopers added.

The intersection was closed for several hours for the cleanup and investigation.
