8 Berks student-athletes earn academic honors at Albright

Eight Albright College student-athletes from Berks County high schools were honored this month by the Middle Atlantic Conference as members of the winter and spring 2024 Academic Honor Roll, for earning a grade point average of 3.2 or higher during their athletic season.

A graduate of Exeter Township Senior High School, Christian Cortes-Nunez of Reading earned recognition while studying Psychology and competing on the men’s track and field team.

A graduate of Reading High, Ambar Duran Tavarez of Reading was recognized  while studying Computer Science and Art and competing on the women’s track and field team.

A graduate of Daniel Boone Area High School, Christian Eckstein of Douglassville earned recognition while studying Business Administration: Financial Analyst and competing on the baseball team. Eckstein was one of 10 Albright Lions boasting a 4.0 grade point average.

A graduate of Wilson High School, Courtney Futrick of Reading was recognized while studying Biology and competing on the women’s lacrosse team.

A graduate of Hamburg Area High School, Veronica Heckman of Hamburg earned recognition while studying Accounting Economics and Finance and competing on the softball team.

A graduate of Conrad Weiser High School, Alexandra Pancu of Robesonia earned recognition while studying Fashion: Design & Merchandising and competing on the  women’s tennis team.

A graduate of Conrad Weiser High School, Eren Tighe of Womelsdorf earned honors while studying Sociology: Family Studies and competing on the women’s track and field team.

A graduate of Exeter Township Senior High School, Colby Yaich of Reading earned academic recognition while studying Business Administration: Marketing and competing on the baseball team.
