8 theft suspects get nearly $700 in cosmetics from CVS store in northern Berks

State police are seeking the public’s help in identifying eight people who stormed a CVS store in Shoemakersville last week and stole nearly $700 worth of mostly cosmetic merchandise from store shelves.

The incident happened March 6 shortly after 1:30 p.m. at the store at 1054 Shoemaker Ave.

The suspects arrived in three vehicles. After parking at the east end of the parking lot — far enough away from the store that the registration plates could not be observed — they entered the store and began collectively gathering items.

They fled the store with the items and got into the vehicles, which were last seen traveling south on Route 61.

Store officials determined the items had a combined retail value of $676.
