A vehicle sheared a utility pole along Route 625 in Cumru Township on Wednesday night and the road is expected to remain closed for an extended period, according to the Berks County Communications Center.
The crash happened shortly after 7 and Route 625, also known as New Holland Road, was closed between Ledgerock and Hickory roads.
Emergency radio traffic showed that their were no injuries.
