‘Aggressive cow’ still on the loose, spotted again on Kutztown University campus

A bull that escaped from a farm in northeastern Berks County is apparently still on the loose.

The latest sighting was reported early Wednesday on the Kutztown University campus.

University officials used their emergency notification system to alert the campus community that the bovine was seen on the remote northwest edge of the campus before disappearing into the tree line to a neighboring property owners’ fields.

The bull’s owner confirmed the animals is aggressive and should not be approached.

Campus police and local officials are on alert in an attempt to locate the bull.

The bull was first spotted running down Main Street in Kutztown on Sunday evening before making its way on the university’s North Campus. That prompted a series of alerts by university police, who described the bull as an “aggressive cow.” Police said they were in contact with the farmer who intended to capture the animal.

There was also a report of a bull sighting Sunday night in Fleetwood.
