Twin Valley High School students Faith Stiffler and Wyatt Allen have been named Twin Valley’s December Interns of the Month.
Both Faith and Wyatt have been interning at the Reading Regional Airport since the beginning of the school year. They both work alongside Zach Tempesco within the airport operations department.
“Faith and Wyatt have quickly become part of our team at the airport,” said Tempesco. “They have performed many tasks including office work, airport operations, and event planning. Their efforts contributed to a very successful Reading Aviation Festival and Career Fair event on Saturday, Oct. 24, with over 1,200 attendees. Wyatt and Faith were also able to participate in a press conference at the airport and pilot the very aircraft being featured.”

A Twin Valley senior, Stiffler has a passion for all topics of aviation. Although she is undecided about what career to follow within the field, she knows she will end up somewhere possibly on the management side, similar to her mentor. So far, Stiffler has spent her time exploring the possible jobs she could obtain at a similar airport and has continued to grow her knowledge of airplanes, the technology involved, and the surrounding operations.
Stiffler was not always intrigued by the management side. She originally dreamt of being a flight attendant, but has since broadened her horizons and discovered her endless options.
Her favorite thing about her internship is her ability to interact with the aviation and flight community which has shown her endless love and support so far. She has had many opportunities so far such as flying a plane herself and being a passenger.
In addition to her internship, Stiffler is involved in the Science Olympiad and has a job at Andy Peppers.
Following graduation, she plans on attending a post-secondary school where she will earn a degree and then attend flight school.
A Twin Valley junior, Allen strives to become a fighter pilot and officer in the United States Air Force. Since he was young he has been surrounded by people who have a passion for aviation, including both of his parents who were helicopter mechanics in the Air Force. Following in his father’s footsteps, Allen hopes to become a fighter pilot.

Allen loves how every day is different and he gets new experiences daily. He also has had opportunities such as flying a plane himself, meeting the airport president, and discussing his future career with mentors.
In addition to his internship, Allen works at Scott’s Carwash in Exeter.
Following high school, Wyatt currently plans on attending Embry Riddle Aeronautical University to participate in their ROTC program.
