From Antietam Valley Community Partnership
Community members, organizations, and volunteers are invited to roll up their sleeves for the Creek Cleanup Day on Saturday, Oct. 18, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Carsonia Avenue and Antietam Roads bridge. Volunteers will work downstream toward the Stony Creek Athletic Association, clearing debris, weeds, brush, and downed trees until 4 p.m.
The goal is simple yet impactful: beautify the area, reduce flood risks, and restore the natural health of the creek.
“This is more than just a cleanup — it’s a chance for neighbors to come together and make a lasting difference in our community,” Larry O’Boyle, President, Antietam Valley Community Partnership, said.
