BCIAA girls basketball playoffs: Three of the four teams set for the semifinals

Yamilex Rodriguez scored 15 points to lead fourth-seeded Reading High to a 42-28 win over fifth-seeded Conrad Weiser in the quarterfinals of the BCIAA quarterfinals on Saturday.

Rodriguez had five points in the second quarter as the Red Knights led 17-12 at halftime.

Reading High advances to Wednesday’s semifinals and will play Wyomissing, a 58-33 winner over Oley Valley on Saturday.

For the Scouts, Lauren Grabosky scored 11 points.

Wyomissing 58, Oley Valley 33

Amaya Stewart scored 19 points as two-time defending BCIAA champion Wyomissing beat Oley Valley 58-33 in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Ten different Spartans scored, including Karly Hyde who had 10 points.

Wyomissing, the top seed, will play Reading High in the semifinals on Wednesday at Santander Arene.

Gov. Mifflin 54, Twin Valley 45

Three Mustangs scored in double figures as Gov. Mifflin defeated Twin Valley 54-45 in a quarterfinal game.

Brooklyn George led the Mustangs with 12 points, Mia Vasquez had 11 and Bella Super had 10.

Vasquez had six points in the third quarter as the Mustangs outscored the Raiders 18-9.

Lauren Williams had 20 points for the Raiders.

Gov. Mifflin, the third seed, will play the winner of the Wilson-Schuylkill Valley game which was postponed to Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Wilson.
