Berks boys volleyball playoffs: Gov. Mifflin, Exeter will play for the title

Gov. Mifflin and Exeter will play for the BCIAA boys volleyball championship after both scored 3-0 victories in the semifinals on Tuesday night.

Gov. Mifflin defeated Wilson and Exeter beat Brandywine Heights.

The championship match is at 7 p.m. Thursday at Gov. Mifflin.

The Mustangs won by set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 25-23.

For Gov. Mifflin, Carter Weyant had 16 kills and 4 blocks, Derek Kintzer had 7 kills and one block and Braden Holmes had 14 digs and 2 aces.

For Wilson, Majo Jalloh had 8 kills and 5 blocks, Seth McKee had 7 kills and a block, and Anthony Ho had 25 assists, 12 digs and 2 aces.

The Eagles won by set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-22.

For Exeter, Tyler Campbell had 27 assists, 4 digs and block, and Nate Hoffman had 12 kills and 4 blocks.

Ashton Wilson chipped in with 8 kills, 6 digs and a block, Paxson Forry had 6 kills, 5 digs and 2 aces, and Jackson Gabriel had 4 kills and 2 blocks.

For the Bullets, Auston Ambruster had a block, 15 assists, including the 1,000th of his career, and 6 digs, Eagan Coffin had 7 kills and 7 digs, Gavin Geiger had  8 kills, 4 blocks and 6 digs, and Joey Dorio had 5 kills and 2 digs.
