Exeter, Brandywine Heights earn wins in Berks boys volleyball semifinals

Exeter will get a chance to repeat as Berks boys volleyball champions, as the Eagles defeated Schuylkill Valley in a semifinal on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive.

Exeter has yet to lose a set this season and won on Saturday by scores of 25-16, 26-24 and 25-18.

For the Eagles (18-0), Chase Nugent had 12 kills, two aces, two digs and one block, Gaige Gabriel had 12 kills, one ace, two digs and two blocks, Jack Forry had 32 assists, six digs, one ace and one block. Nate Hoffman had six kills and one block, Ashton Wilson had five kills, two aces and five digs and Tyler Campbell had eight digs and four assists.

For the Panthers (16-3), Micah Nagle had four kills, three blocks, three digs and one ace, Cooper Hohenadel had six kills and two aces and Owen Reifsnyder had two kills, three digs and 13 assists.

Exeter will host Brandywine Heights in the final on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

No. 2-1 Brandywine Heights 3, No. 1-2 Gov. Mifflin 1

After falling in the Berks boys volleyball semifinals in each of the past four postseasons, Brandywine Heights advanced to its first Berks championship match since 2009 with a victory over Gov. Mifflin in a semifinal on Saturday at Mertztown.

For the Mustangs (12-5), Armani George had 12 kills and five blocks and Chase Beeman had six kills and two blocks.

For the Bullets (15-2), Adam Tomatsu had 20 digs, Brayden Armbruster had 27 kills, Gavin Geiger had 15 kills and Seamus Coffin had 24 assists.
