• A joint Easter sunrise service with Mohrsville Church of the Brethren and Belleman’s Church will be held at 6:30 a.m. at Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, 1542 Shoey Road, Centre Township. Kurtis Rohrbach will deliver the message.
• St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood, will have the following events on Easter Sunday: a sunrise service at 7 a.m. in the church; a breakfast at 8; a service at 9; coffee hour at 10; and a service at 10:30. There will be an Easter egg hunt today at 11 a.m. on on the church grounds.
• Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township, will hold Festival Easter worship services at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. with brass quartet, timpani and the Reformation choir under the direction of Dr. Heidi Rochlin. Breakfast will be served in the parish hall from 9-10:15 a.m. An egg hunt will be held on the church lawn at 9:30.
• Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County, will hold an Easter sunrise service beginning in the cemetery at 6:30 a.m., with Holy Communion. Coffee and Conversation will be held at 8:30 and 10 a.m. in the Welcome Center.
• Zion’s Lutheran Church, 354 Zions Church Road, Perry Township, will hold its annual egg hunt for children through fifth grade as well as adults today at 9:30 a.m. The event is rain or shine and participants should meet in the fellowship hall. There will be special music and Holy Communion at the 6:30 and 10:30 a.m. worship services on Easter Sunday. Breakfast will be held at 7:30 a.m.
• Epler’s Church United Church of Christ, 1151 W. Leesport Road, Bern Township, will have an Easter dawn service at 6:30 a.m. at the Dry Dock Area at Blue Marsh Lake, including Holy Communion. A short time of fellowship will follow the service. The children’s choir and senior choir will provide special music during the 10:30 a.m. Easter service, with Holy Communion. Food and Faith will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. for the meal and 7 p.m. for worship. The theme will be “Holy Humor.” We invite you to bring a joke or funny story (church appropriate) to share during worship, which will be a fun and light service, with Holy Communion. The accompanist will be Linda Michaels on piano.
• Calvary United Church of Christ, 1231 Route 100, Washington Township, will feature professional jazz and sacred worship artist Ron Stabinsky as the guest musician for its 9:30 a.m. Easter worship service.
• St. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, will hold a free drive-through take-out meal today from 4:30-5:30 p.m. No registration necessary.
• United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 W. Penn Ave., will have a sunrise Easter service at 6:45 a.m., beginning outside behind the church then moving indoors. There also will be a 10:15 service, both with Holy Communion. Fellowship and refreshments will be served after the 10:15 service. Bible study will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. by Zoom and on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in person at the church or on Zoom. • Friedens Lutheran Church, 537 N. Main St., Bernville, will have special music during its 10:30 a.m. Easter worship service, with Holy Communion.
• The Rev. Kenneth Gould will be guest pastor for the 9:30 a.m. Easter service at Salem Lutheran Church, 8410 Lancaster Ave., Bethel Township.
• St. John’s Lutheran Church, 4125 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, will be having an Easter activity today from 10:30-11 a.m. and an egg hunt at 11.
• Theology with a Twist will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Kutztown Tavern, 272 W. Main St., Kutztown. Join the Rev. Kevin McLemore, the Associate Conference Minister for Search and Call in the Pennsylvania Southeast Conference, for a deep dive into the book, “Facing the Abusing God: A Theology of Protest” by Dr. David R. Blumenthal. The event is free, but food and drink can be purchased in the restaurant downstairs and brought up to the event space. Parking is available in the community lot behind the tavern or on Main Street.
• On April 7, Immanuel United Church of Christ, 99 S Waverly St., Shillington, welcomes to worship at 9 a.m. special guest the Rev. Dr. Sarah B. Drummond. She is a scholar, educator, author and ordained minister in the United Church of Christ serving as the Founding Dean of Andover Newton Seminary at Yale Divinity School. After worship, Drummond will speak during Adult Forum at 10:15. She will also lead a workshop on her book “Dynamic Discernment | Reason, Emotion, and Power in Change Leadership” from 2-4 p.m. at Immanuel.
